An Imposter

So, I practically sprinted into H&M the other day to return some clothes, covering my eyes so as not to see all of their new fall merchandise, tumbling over innocent patrons as I forced my way to the register. And then this shirt reached out and smacked me in the face. Literally. I know, crazy, right??

It being all ruffley and syrupy sweet, it wouldn’t let me go home without it. And then when I got it home, I realized it’s an imposter and looks remarkably like this Anthropologie dress that my friend happened to recently purchase for a wedding. Hmph. But, for $12.95….I just don’t think I can give it up.

I know there’s been a lot of bad press regarding H&M, and I probably should boycott them altogether, but here’s the thing. My bank account says otherwise. And, my bank account also applauds me today for spending under a $100 on this outfit. I feel a theme in the making….

Oh my god! Your outfit is cuter than the dress, and so much cheaper! Crap, where are you when I make poor shopping decisions? :(
